Let's go outside!

I had a couple of lovely visitors this afternoon while working outside, painting little birdcages...

I doubt it was the smell of paint that attracted this little guy, but he just came right down to one of the birdcages, as if wanting me to take his picture. I, of course, did not have a camera nearby. This photo is merely a Photoshopped recreation of the little spectacle I missed. It did perch on a birdcage just like this, I swear! Oh, and I later found out that the black butterfly with white spots is commonly known as the Eggfly butterfly.

Not long after my failed attempt to return outside in time, camera in hand, to catch my mysterious visitor, another fluttering friend came along. This one had blue wings, smaller than my eggfly friend, but equally pretty. He wouldn't open his wings for the camera, though. :( He finally did when he flew away. *sigh

Oh, and meet Scott! (here, stalking the door)  :)

Sudden Inspiration

Yesterday, I was flipping through a business magazine when a photo of a man wearing what appeared to be a teddy bear cape on his head caught my eye. I immediately got out my little doodle pad and, minutes later, came up with this:

The little spheres were added digitally much, much later. I still haven't thought of a title for this, though...

A Night to Remember

This year, I've been very fortunate to have gotten into Ang I.N.K. (Ilustrador ng Kabataan). This means getting to be a part of their annual exhibit-- at the Ayala Museum this year, no less!). This year is particularly special because it would be INK's 20th birthday. So, after months of brainstorming, planning, cutting, drawing, painting, everyone's hard work paid off last night.

...didn't want the night to end, but we all needed a much deserved rest.

Afterwards, I had dinner with my crazy but ever-so-supportive family

Kingdom Animalia

This wonderful shop called Animalia is my most current awesome find. It is a store that "sells a bunch of animal- themed stuff". Plus, 10% of the profits go to wildlife conservation.

Postcards, Popsicle sticks & a little Preview

Just thought I'd share some of the things I've been doing for the past few weeks... Some are work- related, some, fun- related, but all of them, made with l-o-v-e.

Postcards for sale. Head on over to my Flickr to see more

Popsicle Impressions: If iced popsies left impressions on the sticks, I think they'd look quite pretty...

Finally, a preview of some things to come:
